8. Know the right length : Jeans should be long enough to cover most of the foot but not so long that it drags on the floor. Just skimming the instep is always a great measure.

9. Know your denim : The lighter the weight of the fabric the sooner they bag out and relax as you wear them during the day. If you choose a snug fit jean avoid washing them in hot water and putting them in the dryer. Denim that has some stretch to it is very comfortable, as is those with Tencel. Rubs can also soften denim beautifully. If you get jeans with JeanShield™, avoid using fabric softeners or dryer sheets.

10. Want height? : To look taller, avoid Capri-length jeans. The longer the jeans, the longer your body will look. This is an important tip for petite women.

11. Long torso? : Avoid measuring for super-low risers if you have a longer torso…It will make you look imbalanced.

12. Short torso? : Low-rise is the way to go.

13. When to taper : Tapered jeans are not for most. If you have a womanly figure, it only focuses on your middle, so opt for jeans with flare-cut legs because it creates curves so not one part of your body is focused on. If you are very slim, then tapering can work if you wish a more classic look.

14. Blessed on the backside? :
If you feel you have a large backside, avoid jeans that have a high waist as it can make your body look even more pear-shaped. Make sure to have back pockets.
